In addition to showing the work of largely New York based artists, sculptors and photographers, including a collection of photographic images of Sullivan County and photographer Roberto Rabanne’s rare images of Jerry Garcia and Jimi Hendrix, Sidedoor Gallery will be featuring video art works from its New Art Lab series.  Presented in collaboration with Nina Colosi, founder of the Project Room, an international arts and education program formerly located at the Chelsea Museum, New Art Lab was created as an incubator of new ideas, showcasing groundbreaking concepts in various art mediums and the intersection of the arts through technology.  Sidedoor Gallery participated as a sponsor for the Project Room’s ‘A Moveable Feast’, a public art event featuring works by video artists including Nam June Paik and Zhang Ga held during NYC’s Armory Art week.

Currently the work of award winning video artist Kurt Ralske, whose work is on permanent display in the MOMA lobby, is on view at SDG/New Art Lab’s New York location at 37 West 28th Street, 3rd Floor.

Sidedoor Gallery will again host an event as part of the 2007 DIGit Media Arts festival, which this year features a Video Slam to take place in neighboring Narrowsburg, NY.  Submission information and entry forms are available at The gallery is open weekends throughout the summer and by appointment and works may also be made available for private showing at our New York City studio.
